FRIBOURG BY NIGHT TRAIL (FBNT) 8TH EDITION 9 DECEMBER 2023

Date: Saturday 9th of December 2023

Departure: 5 pm at the Neigles school, Fribourg (map)

Arrival: Neigles school, Fribourg

Route: a single course (version SuisseMobile) of 32km with 1000m+ (70% on paths and singles, 30% on roads) in and around the city of Fribourg (direction: lake of Pérolles, bridge of Glâne, bridge of Marly, valley of Gottéron)

Refreshments:
1. 15km at Marly Innovation Center (MIC) in the Revario premises : hot tea, Coca, biscuits, chocolate, chips,…)
2. On arrival (hot tea, Coca, chocolate, chips, bread, cheese, soup,…)

Hour barriers: The 1st refuelling station at km 15 in MIC closes at 19:25, km 23 at Bourguillon at 20:30 and the finish line closes at 22:00

Waiver: No transport to the arrival is available from the organization.
The runner must reach the arrival by his own means and mandatorily announce himself to the timekeeper at arrival zone.

Penalties: the runner commits himself to follow the route of the course and not to deviate from it. In case of cheating, change of itinerary or assistance out of refuelling, the organizer will sanction by means of a penalty (30 minutes to one hour of overtime)

Assistance along the course: the race is self-sufficient.
The assistance of a rider is authorised ONLY (penalty) at the place of refuelling (15th km).
Pacers are forbidden just like dogs

Marking: ribbons, reflective flags and retro-reflective spray (dots which illuminate with the light of your headlamps), volunteers will direct you on your way at the beginning of the course. Be careful as there is major road crossing at 23km (Bourguillon)

Required equipment: waterproof jacket + headlamp + personal cup (no cup distributed at refuelling) + drink (minimum 500ml reserve) + thermal blanket + trail bag + mobile phone
Trail or nordic sticks are not allowed!
Recommended equipment: gloves + hat + long tights + long sleeves sweater

Registration fee: 40 francs

Registration: via L-Chrono (registration and official timekeeper)

Deadline for registration: registrations will be closed as soon as the total number of registrations is reached (450 runners)

Late registration: No registration on-site

Withdrawal and exchange of bibs: any exchange of bibs or modification of registration must be made by Saturday 02.12.2023 at 20:00 via L-Chrono. See conditions of L-Chrono

Withdrawal of the bibs: in the Neigles school, Fribourg from 15:30 only on presentation of an identity document

Parking: The organizers encourage car-sharing. Fribourg is very easily accessible by train. From the train station, take the bus n°2 (direction Schoenberg), stop Stadtberg in 18′ then 5′ walk to the school of Neigles. Please note that parking spaces are limited due to construction work. Parking possible at the Boulodrome des Neigles + along the Route de Berne + on the Route de Bourguillon près de la Tour Rouge

Changing rooms/showers/WC: men and women separately with hot showers available at the Neigles school. Mobile toilets available on the start/finish area

Timing: L-Chrono

Results: a list of final results will be published on our website as well as on L-Chrono

Awards ceremony: podiums in the finish area as of 09:00 pm
No prizes will be sent to runners

Cancellation: the race will take place by all weathers. The organizer reserves the right to modify the route according to the weather conditions

Responsibility: the organizer declines full responsibility in case of accident

Organization: Simplicity, conviviality and sobriety above all. We are committed to reducing our impact on the environment as much as possible while maintaining a high quality of race (local souvenir prices, eco-responsible refreshments, no goodies, encouragement to carpool and to use public transport as much as possible, equipment rental, waste sorting, reduced advertising…)
